Course Description:

Explore the timeless foundations of painting through three classical subjects: portraits, still life, and landscapes. This 4-session course offers a guided experience in observation, composition, color mixing, and brushwork using acrylic or oil paints. Students will develop their own artistic voice while completing one or two finished artworks.

By the end of the course, participants will gain confidence in painting techniques and create at least one finished artwork — either a portrait, still life, or landscape — while building strong foundational skills.

Session 1: Introduction to materials & basic color theory

Session 2: Still Life – composition, light & shadow

Session 3: Portrait basics – facial proportions & skin tones

Session 4: Landscape painting – depth, skies, and atmosphere
