COURSE DESCRIPTION
|
Throughout this workshop, participants are expected to paint with different mediums, layering them together to get a better grasp of mixing medias together.
|

COURSE SYLLABUS/OUTLINE BY SESSION
|
Sessions 1 : participants will be experimenting with several mediums in order to create different effects, textures and thicknesses.
Session 2: Participants will work and finish a painting based on an inspiration of their choice (not a copy of another painting, we are just being inspired by other famous artists or photographs) with the guidance of the instructor in order to reach the desired outcome.

|
Shaymaa is an Architect, Interior designer, Artist and Muralist based in Cairo. She graduated from the American University in Cairo after completing her bachelor degree in Architectural engineering. Art has always sparked her interest since her early years and she decided to pursue her passion for art by completing certified courses in contemporary Visual and Fine Arts awarded by top institutes in the field including the University of the Arts London, UAL. In a duration of just above 2 years, she has worked on 100+ Artistic Projects and Art pieces inside and outside of Egypt, including individual and commercial innovative projects. Currently shaymaa has her work showcased in private art collections in Cairo, Greece, France, Luxembourg and UAE. In 2019, She co-founded Art Empowers with her brother to pursue her passion for art, and making art accessible for everyone!

COURSE LEVEL

No specific background needed. All levels are welcome to join. Ages 14+

MATERIAL LIST NEEDED FROM STUDENTS if they choose without materials package
|
If you choose "without materials" package, kindly bring with you the following:
- A minimum of 2 Canvases (size 60x40 cm) per class
- A minimum of 6 acrylic paints including black and white
- A minimum of 2 size flat brushes
- A minimum of 1 art knife
- A minimum of 2-3 range of Ecoline inks (your preferred colors)
- A Canson/fabriano Sketch A4
- A minimum of 2 spray paint cans (your preferred colors)

- All necessary materials and equipment needed is provided, including canvases, acrylic paints, oil paints, brushes , mediums and more.
- certificate of completion signed off by Art Empowers and the instructor
- A chance to display your work in our upcoming student exhibition
